At the Hershey Elegance

This past weekend, Dominic and I attended the Hershey Elegance antique car show at the Hershey Hotel.  It was a lot of fun.  We wandered through the cars and saw some amazing automobiles from every era imaginable.  However the best part of the event was the people watching.  There were the boys dressed as newsies for their car, the woman who looked like she came right out of the Ascot racetrack scene of My Fair Lady.  Her black and white outfit was elegant and her hat was massive.  She looked perfect when she sat on the back seat of the … Continued

Guest: Carrie Ann Ryan – Harder than Words

Thank you so much for having me, Andrew! I just wanted to first say that I adore your books! As for me? Today I’m here to talk about my latest release, Harder than Words. It’s the third book in the Montgomery Ink series but of course, like all my books, you can read these out of order if your heart desires. The idea for the series as a whole surrounds the Montgomery Family. Five brothers and three sisters. Half of them work with the tattoo shop, Montgomery Ink, the other half, the construction company, Montgomery Inc. Each story is a … Continued

Release Day Nerves

I al always as nervous and heck on release day.  Will readers like the book?  Will it find an audience?  I sit in my chair and obsessively check Amazon and other places to see if its doing okay, as if me checking is going to make any difference.  The simple thing is that release days should be happy days and I’m trying to make them that.  I have just put one of my creations out in the world. Good or bad, its out there and people can read and talk about it.  I really hope they will do both with … Continued

Saving Faithless Creek – The Idea!!!

Sometimes I get ideas for stories and I have no idea where they came from, Saving Faithless Creek is one of those stories.  I did get an interesting idea and wanted to see if I could make it work.  As a gay kid, I was bullied, even though at the time, I didn’t understand about being a gay kid and I wasn’t out of the closet in high school.  But I didn’t fit in and of course I had some kids who decided that since I was smaller than them, I was someone to be picked on.  So I started … Continued

Sneak Peek – Fire and Rain

This morning I thought I’d give you all I little peek into what I’m working on.  I started Fire and Rain four days ago and it is already about a quarter completed.  I think this is going to be one of those stories with a life of its own and I just need to hold on for the ride.  I only hope my heart can take it.   “They’re already full,” the man said, though he sounded like a kid.  “We got turned away from there a few hours ago.” Bonner’s suspicion rose.  We?  What exactly was going on under … Continued

Work in Progress – Fire and Rain

With the release of Fire and Ice and the completion of Round and Round I’m in a Carlisle Cops kind of mood, so I’ve decided to start work on the third story in the series. Each of these stories is a hot romance set with in front of a backdrop of a problem currently being faced by the town I live in.  Fire and Water dealt with drug dealing and its cost, Fire and Ice took on child abuse in some of its ugliest forms.  (I did my best to keep the worst off the page.)  Fire and Rain is going … Continued

Butt, Ass, or Tuckus

This past weekend, I ended up having a discussion around the various terms that we use to refer to guy’s backsides.  So I wanted to offer the Andrew Grey guide to some of my favorite terms. Butt – Everyone has one and we all think our doesn’t stink.  🙂  Well for our purposes here, a butt is what most everyone has.  I used to have a butt because my backside was nearly non existent.  This is the generic term for a guy’s backside. Ass – These are wide and beefy.  Guys with tree trunk legs have an ass.  This is … Continued

Carlisle Cops – We All Need a Hero

When I began the Carlisle Cops series, I set the stories in my own home town.  I love Carlisle Pennsylvania and Dominic and I have built our home there.  I have had a few dealings with the police, once when our garage was broken into, and again when the tires on our cars were sliced.  They were always professional and as helpful as possible.  It was after the tire slashing incident that I decided to write Fire and Water, the first story in the series.  Fire and Ice came to me because of a local news story that captured my … Continued
