Butt, Ass, or Tuckus

This past weekend, I ended up having a discussion around the various terms that we use to refer to guy’s backsides.  So I wanted to offer the Andrew Grey guide to some of my favorite terms.

Butt – Everyone has one and we all think our doesn’t stink.  🙂  Well for our purposes here, a butt is what most everyone has.  I used to have a butt because my backside was nearly non existent.  This is the generic term for a guy’s backside.

Ass – These are wide and beefy.  Guys with tree trunk legs have an ass.  This is the kind of backside that you want to grab hold of and ride into the sunset.  These are generally substantial, maybe a little large, and kind of grab hold for dear life.  If you look around you see a lot of asses, but not all of them are worth taking for a spin, so choose carefully.

Tuckus – This is the pinnacle.  A tuckus is high, tight, round, and at times had dimples.  The butt dimple is a sure sign that you have a tuckus.  These are the kind of butts that can crack a walnut.  A tuckus can be built with lots of squats at the gym.  The rarest breed is a natural tuckus and is highly sought after.  I am pleased to report that Dominic has a tuckus and its one of his best attributes.

There are of course other terms that we use for guy’s rear ends, but these are my favorite.  If you have one, please comment and let me know your favorite.  Don’t forget to include a definition and maybe a picture of you like.  After all we all love a great tuckus picture.  And no I’m not going to post a selfie of my own butt.  There are limits  🙂

I’ve always been partial to bum. Something about it implies cute and squishy, just perfect for a squeeze. Thanks for the giggles thismorming ☺

If the behind in question belongs to either an intellectual or a snob, derriere is the preferred word!

Good morning Andrew. Thank you for the laughter and the smiles. Poor Dominic. Now the whole world knows he has a tuckus and what a great ass it is and thank goodness he has a butt or he would look kind of funny. All kidding aside Tush is a good word for butt but I have no idea how to describe it. It just is. My favorite description will always be ass like in “He has great ass.”

So funny. Since it’s a compliment Dominic will laugh. Tush is really a soft, squishy baby’s butt so it works if you’re talking cute. Tuches in Yiddish means butt but I love your description. I would use rump for your use of ass and ass for your use of tuckus. LOL

I’ve always been partial to the terms Posterior and Buttocks dependant on the company I’m with. The more prudish get Posterior where as the down-to-earth type (like myself) get Buttocks. Though if I’m being a bit crude I might use Arse or Keister

I always called my boy’s bottom — ‘Rear’ as in ‘Get your rear in gear!’ Rear end.
Yeah, bottom is another. Like diaper the bottom.

I think these words are all synonyms are they not? You’ve listed humourous personal distinctions , but that’s what they are: your distinctions.
