Hello everyone, firstly I would like to start off by saying thank you to Andrew for having me here to talk about my new release… If I’m honest, my own life is so hectic at the moment that I’d forgotten I even had a book due for release.
**Slaps own hand: Bad N.J.**
I’m not usually this much of an airhead… Oh, who am I kidding… of course I am. I seem to get distracted all the time, so I thought I’d talk a bit about what distracts me and how I try and avoid it. I should mention that I’m really bad at avoiding it—I’m one of those people that start off researching something I need for a story, and five hours later I’m watching YouTube videos about a giraffe giving birth… I’m a sucker for a good animal story.
Okay, scratch that, I figure I should talk about my story and where I got my idea from… Again, if I’m honest, a lot of my ideas come from songs. I always carry a note book in my bag, and my car so that if a particular line of a song jumps out for me then I can jot down the idea. In saying that I’ll let you know that I’m usually in the passenger seat and if I am driving I safely pull over. This book is the first in the series: Wardens of the Guild. I’d been mulling over this very story for a while. I came across a series of photographs of people who could have passed as twins (yes I was supposed to be researching something else). For some of them I found it hard to believe they weren’t really related.
My mum always said that everyone had a doppelganger out there in the world—just that most people never found them.
Anyway, I wanted to know what it would be like for to people to be so alike that no one could tell them apart—that is until that one special person came along that could do what no one else could. Then my mind travelled a whole other pathway and I got to thinking. What would happen if this meeting between three people was meant to kick start a chain reaction that will eventually involve everyone?
Seeing as I love all thigs paranormal… that’s where I ended up going. I have three more books to follow in this series. They are as follows:
2: All That Shimmers
3: Heart Strings
4: Guilded Cages
And as soon as I can I will be back into writing and will be well on the way to getting this done by the end of this year, or the beginning of next year. I’m not sure if more will follow. I always say no and then I end up writing them anyway. For me though it the characters themselves who suddenly start demanding that there story has to be told or the world will be a sadder place. YES—like most authors I have characters in my head telling me what to do. Mostly I try and ignore them, but sometimes I just write their stories to shut them up. I always imagine an author’s mind like an archive vault. A place filled with huge filling cabinets where all our plot bunnies, character inspiration etc are stored away until we need to pull them out and dust them off. Or in my case my muse Vlad takes charge. Though sometimes I swear my characters bribe Vlad so they get written first. They must, because I end up starting stories that I hadn’t planned on working on.

Isiah Gillis and Claudius Reynar are twins in every sense of the word. No one can tell them apart, yet they’re not related. Since meeting, they’ve learned that they’ve become the subject of a legend, something neither of them wanted.
Hatred from their past lives comes knocking and tries to kill Claudius and Isiah by turning Mitch into a weapon against them. Instead, Mitch now shares his body with Remi, a powerful demon lord, who enters their lives—a demon Lord who claims them for his own.
Not everyone is happy that the legend has been fulfilled and they will do everything in their power to tear apart the strong bond the four men possess. Laramie realizes he has to separate from Mitch or risk losing one of his mates so completely it could break them all.
When old and new enemies alike step forward to destroy who they are, Isiah, Mitch, Claudius and Remi gather family and friends to fight in the war to save them all. Can things be set to right before evil intentions win?

NJ needs to write like she needs to breathe. It’s an addiction she never intends to find a cure for. When you don’t find NJ arguing with Vlad, her muse, or writing about the wonderful men in her stories, you’ll find her reading work by other authors she greatly admires. NJ lives on five acres situated in the SE of Qld, Australia with her family who all encourage her writing career (even if she does occasionally call them by her character’s names), and her variety of pets. NJ thinks anyone who takes the time to read her stuff is totally awesome, and wants to thank you all.
