Hello all. I’m at GRL and I did my first Word of the Day of the conference. Yesterday I was going to dinner with Amber Kell and J Scott and we talked about words for wasting time. This past weekend I attended the Baltimore Book Fair as part of the Maryland Romance Writers and I had a lot of fun. I talked with some amazing authors, including Carrie Ann Ryan, Ginger Sharp, Jennifer Armentrout, and Laura Kaye, met some new readers which is always awesome, and took part in a number of panels including diversity, romantic suspense, and young adult. Last night I went to a wonderful program at the Maryland Romance Writers. They had a speaker who talked about social media. It was really wonderful and as a result of that talk, I have been opened up to the wonderful world of Instagram and I am expanding my use of Pinterest. I’m going let you all in on a little secret. I have had over 100 release days in my career. The exact number is hard to count, but there have been a lot. And I still get as nervous and anxious with each one as I did with my very first release. Each time I hope readers will like it what I wrote. Hello from wonderful, energetic New York City. I am nearing the end of my three week conference odyssey that started about three weeks ago in Munich. I am at the RWA National Conference. The previous conferences in Munich and Tampa were reader conventions. This one is most definitely centered on craft. I have met some amazing authors. I have been traveling for most of the week. On Monday I was in Philadelphia staying with friends. Tuesday I caught my flight to Munich and landed on Wednesday and spent much of the day and night dealing with jet lag. Thursday I had arranged a tour of the castles Linderhoff and Neuschwanstein. They were beautiful. I have seen both of them before, but it was even better this time. The tickets were timed so there was no waiting in tons of lines.
