Baltimore Book Fair

This past weekend I attended the Baltimore Book Fair as part of the Maryland Romance Writers and I had a lot of fun.  I talked with some amazing authors, including Carrie Ann Ryan, Ginger Sharp, Jennifer Armentrout, and Laura Kaye, met some new readers which is always awesome, and took part in a number of panels including diversity, romantic suspense, and young adult.  I also did a new word of the while I was there, with Federal Hill in the background.  (If you watch look for the flag.  It took me a few seconds to get what was different.  It has 15 … Continued

A New Place to Follow Me

Last night I went to a wonderful program at the Maryland Romance Writers.  They had a speaker who talked about social media.  It was really wonderful and as a result of that talk, I have been opened up to the wonderful world of Instagram and I am expanding my use of Pinterest.  I love that both of these social media sites are picture based because I’m a visual kind of guy. On Pinterest I am Andrew Grey And on Instagram I am andrewgreybooks. In both places you will see my usual smiling face, so you’ll know if you found the … Continued

Release Day

I’m going let you all in on a little secret.  I have had over 100 release days in my career.  The exact number is hard to count, but there have been a lot.  And I still get as nervous and anxious with each one as I did with my very first release.  Each time I hope readers will like it what I wrote.  I put a lot of myself in each story and I want the reader to love it because liking my work is in a way liking me.  I know that may sound a little strange, but it’s … Continued

Andrew and Dirk’s Word of the Day

I was in the mood for another word of the day.  I really hope you like this one.  I thought it was rather cute.  Dominic left on Thursday to visit  his family and I’ve been home alone.  I’m realizing I don’t do home alone very well.    Enjoy!

Take A Walk into the Wild

My alter ego, Dirk Greyson, has a release coming on Monday, August 31.  Challenge the Darkness is my first paranormal story in quite a while.  I wrote a shirt story in the Three Fates anthology with Amy and Mary.  Before that I think we have to go back to the satyr stories I wrote when I first started writing.  I have written two stories in the series so far and I hope to be able to continue it.  In this story we meet Denton and Mikael, the alphas of two nearby packs who are threatened by a common enemy.  When they … Continued

My Muse

I thought I would share this with all of you.  A few years ago my sister went to a psychic reader with a friend.  She had some questions that she wanted answers to.  At some point during the reading, it was mentioned that she had two brothers.  The psychic told my sister that her oldest brother was very creative and that he was a writer, which startled my sister a little because she hadn’t said anything about us.  Then my sister told me that the psychic grinned and became quite excited.  She told my sister that I was blessed and … Continued

Release Day – The Gift

Sometimes gifts are unexpected and sometimes they come at you from out of the blue and knock you over.  Those are the ones you don’t see coming.  In The gift, neither character is looking for love or expects to find it in any way.  They both have issue, either inherited or based upon the decisions they made in life, that make them feel as though love, true love  (The Princess Bride just flashed in my mind) is not something that is in the cards for them.  This story was difficult to write  the premise put a lot of restrictions on what I … Continued
