Rebound

Rebound releases on February 12 and I wanted to share a sneak peek excerpt and share just a little about this story. Rebound didn’t start the way a lot of my stories do. I had a vague of the overall story. But it really started with the character’s names. I am not going to give away anything but Obie and Bri began with just their names and then they quickly filled in. Both men’s bold personalities came forward almost immediately and a story that I loved to write was born. I know I say that about each story, but some … Continued

You Can Teach and Old Dog New Tricks

I can’t try to tell you the number of times that I have gotten requests for stories with older, more mature characters.  Many romances contain stories of young guys trying to find their way in the world.  That is a very valid subject because  learning who you are and accepting that you’re different is part of being gay.  But sometimes its nice to break form that and take a journey with someone that life has put through its wash machine and is just trying to figure a way forward.   In this case we have a successful man who desperately … Continued

A New Kind of Character – Fire and Snow

In the past I have written stories about many different kinds of characters and some are much harder than others.  Fisher was just that kind of character.  When I conceived Fisher, he had issues, lots of issues, fear, panic attacks, and many others.  At first I didn’t quite understand him and then I realized he was telling me that me he’d suffered a traumatic brain injury in an automobile accident and the pieces fit together.  Fisher had developed a mental illness as a result of the accident.  I fell in love with him immediately after that. Living with mental illness … Continued

Fire and Snow is Ready to Take The Carlisle Cops by Storm!!!!

I’ve been asked for an excerpt of Fire and Snow, the next installment in the Carlisle Cops series of stories.  I pulled this one because it really shows JD’s nature and the kind of heart he has.  I really love these works.  Each of the stories is pulled from a local news story that caught my attention.  I really think you’re going to fall in love with Fisher and JD the way I did.  Fire and Snow releases May 20th!!!  Enjoy!!!!!   Blurb Fisher Moreland has been cast out of his family because they can no longer deal with his … Continued

Got Crabs

I’m at Coastal Magic in Daytona and last night for dinner I went to Joe’s Crab Shack with three amazing ladies.  It was so much fun.  We talked and laughed the entire evening.  I told stories, they shared jokes. I told them all about seventies night on the cruise ship where the fitness center staff played the Village People.  That will definitely get the heart racing.  I also shared Cards Against Humanity nursery rhymes.   We made bad crab puns and innuendo for most of the evening as evidenced by the pictures below.  By the time our meal was over my sides hurt.  … Continued

Hey all.  Round and Round releases in a few hours and I wanted to share an advance excerpt with you.  I really hope you enjoy!!!!!   When it comes to love, Kevin Foster can’t seem to win. Some consider him a hero, but dousing an arsonist’s attempt to burn Bronco’s to the ground puts Kevin on the vengeful criminal’s radar. Afterward, the arsonist fixates on Kevin, determined to burn away every part of Kevin’s life. Coming to Kevin’s rescue more than once, and in more ways than one, is “MacDreamy Hotness”—firefighter Angus MacTavish. Not only is Angus smitten at first … Continued

The Bronco’s Boys Comes to An End?

Round and Round, the last story in the Bronco’s Boys series releases on December 14 and that brings the series to an end.  Zach and each of his friends will have found the love of their lives.  I’m going to find it hard to say goodbye to this world.  So I decided not to.  I will not be continuing this series, but I have started a new spinoff series with firemen that will take the reader into Angus; world and center on some of his friends and coworkers.  Let’s face it, firefighters are sexy.  They rick their lives each day … Continued

Release Day Post – Eyes Only For Me – Ronnie

Ronnie has to be one of my most unique characters.  He’s brash, bold, cocky, caring,  sometimes tender, but generous with his things and to Clay, his time.  But there is something else that’s important to remember, Ronnie also has a mental illness.  He’s obsessive compulsive and there are things that go along with that.  He fixates on things, has trouble letting things go and can be a self centered.  But in the story, its Clay who cuts through a lot of that for him, which is a big deal.  For Ronnie, the things he fixates on play in his head over … Continued

Pain Enters the Picture

I am currently over 50 and I have led a rather active life.  Dominic and I have hiked 3 miles to a castle in Europe and thought nothing of it.  We spent days walking in the woods, bicycling, and just plain going.  I worked out for years and spent hours and walked miles on treadmills.  At one time I could squat, press, and lift hundreds of pounds.  I like being active.  These last few weeks I have ben in pain.  My doctor is a little stumped as am I.  I got a backache at GRL and it hasn’t stopped since.  … Continued

Happy Halloween

As some of you know, Dominic is an amazing pumpkin carver.  For the last few days he hasn’t been feeling very well, however last night was Trick or Treating and to him that means pumpkins.  So after he got home from work, I heard him downstairs in the kitchen scraping and carving pumpkins.  Now there are two rules for me at this time of year, either help or get out of the way.  I chose the latter.  He was on a tear and I knew I was going to be in the way.   Instead I lay upstairs nursing my aching … Continued
